Press Release: New members of Standing Committee on Euro Preparations

The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, on 9 June 2003, announced the appointment of Stuart Etherington, Sir Jeremy Beecham, Sir Graham Hall and David Harker to the Standing Committee on Euro Preparations. The Standing Committee was set up by the Chancellor in October 1997 to drive forward UK preparations for membership of the euro.
