New regulations which implement EU legislation relating to aircraft noise will come into force in the United Kingdom on 6 August 2003. Directive 2002/30/EC on rules and procedures for introducing noise-related operating restrictions at Community airports must be implemented in all EU member states by 28 September 2003.
