Press Release: New farm payment scheme ‘ambitious and forward-looking’ – Beckett

The future shape of support for farmers in England under reforms of the Common Agricultural Policy was unveiled by the UK Government on 12 February 2004. Margaret Beckett, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, made a statement to Parliament on how the key features of the reform would be implemented in England.
