Press Release: Nationality requirements for notaries: the Commission takes steps to ensure compliance with the principle of non-discrimination in eight Member States

The European Commission has decided to send reasoned opinions to the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia because these Member States allow only their own citizens to take up and pursue the profession of notary.
