Press Release: Nanofoods: MEPs object to new labelling rules

The European Parliament opposed on the 12 March 2014 the Commission's proposed definition of “engineered nanomaterials” – tiny particles added to foods.

MEPs said this definition would exempt foods containing additives which might be nanomaterials that are already on the market from being labelled.
