The Republic of Montenegro established an Environmental Protection Agency in 2006 with the support of the European Union. The project was part of a wider EU programme to help the Montenegrin Ministry for Environmental Protection and Urban Planning accelerate critical reforms in this sector. The mandate of the European Agency for Reconstruction ran out at the end of 2008. |
