Press Release: Monetary policy decisions

At their meeting on 3.2.00 the Governing Council of the ECB took the following monetary policy decisions:

The interest rate on the main refinancing operations of the Eurosystem would be raised by 0.25% to 3.25% , starting from the operation to be settled on 9.2.00.
The interest rate on the marginal lending facility was raised by 0.25% to 4.25% , with effect from 4.2.00.
The interest rate on the deposit facility was raised by 0.25% to 2.25% , with effect from 4.2.00.
