Press Release: Ministerial conference in Wroclaw to launch celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the European Cultural Convention, 9-10 December 2004

Ministers of culture, education, youth and sport from across Europe will gather in Wroclaw, Poland, on 9 and 10 December 2004 to analyse 50 years of achievements under the European Cultural Convention, and discuss guiding principles for the future of cultural co-operation in greater Europe - including a new role for the convention itself. The conference will conclude with the adoption of a 'Wroclaw Declaration', suggesting the main lines of action for future Council of Europe-led collaboration in these areas, both within Europe and between Europe and the rest of the world.
