The Irish Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Brendan Smith, on 21 September 2010, addressed a meeting of Agriculture Ministers, organised by the Belgian Presidency and devoted to a debate on the future of the CAP after 2013. He highlighted the importance of supporting and stabilising farm incomes in the future CAP. He also emphasised the importance of competitiveness and sustainability in relation to rural development policy. |
