Press Release: Minister Gormley establishes Referendum Commission on Reform Treaty

The Irish Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, John Gormley, on 6 March 2008, announced that he had made an order under the Referendum Act 1998 establishing an independent statutory Referendum Commission for the purposes of the forthcoming referendum on the Twenty-Eighth Amendment of the Constitution Bill 2008.
