Press Release: Minister for European Affairs encourages applications for funding under Communicating Europe initiative: €200,000 available for 2005

The Irish Minister for European Affairs, Noel Treacy, on 10 August 2005, encouraged people to make applications for funding, under the 'Communicating Europe Initiative', from both groups and individuals engaged in promoting greater awareness of the European Union. The Communicating Europe Initiative (CEI) was established by the Irish Government in 1995 to help make Irish people aware of events and developments in the European Union which affect them. It is managed by the European Union Division at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
