Press Release: Minister for Education and Science Mr Noel Dempsey opens EU Presidency Conference on ICT in education

The Irish Minister for Education and Science, Noel Dempsey, welcomed some 180 delegates from over thirty countries to his Department's 'New Futures for Learning in the Digital Age Conference'. The purpose of this conference was to consider what models of practice work effectively and add value to the learning experience and what policies are required to ensure that ICT serves the needs of education in the 21st century and contributes to building a competitive, informed and inclusive Europe.
