Press Release: Minister Cullen warns business to prepare for revolutionary change in dealing with e-waste

The EU's directives on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and on the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ROHS) came into effect in February 2003. Mr Martin Cullen, Ireland's Minister for the Environment and Local Government stated, on 8 April 2003, that Irish businesses must prepare for revolutionary changes in how they deal with electrical waste.
