Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves proposed merger between Abertis and Autostrade

The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed concentration by which Abertis, a Spanish company active in the management of toll motorways merges with Autostrade, an Italian company active in the same sector in Italy. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
