The European Commission cleared on 4 February 2010 under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of joint control of Kovosrot Group CZ a.s. of the Czech Republic by Scholz AG of Germany and the Austrian steel producer voestalpine. After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
