Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves proposed acquisition of ICA Meny by Nordic Capital

The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of sole control of ICA Meny AB, a Swedish wholesaler of consumer goods, by private equity fund Nordic Capital, by way of purchase of shares. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
