Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves proposed acquisition of Constantia Packaging by One Equity Partners

The European Commission cleared on 18 June 2010 under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the Austrian company Constantia Packaging by One Equity Partners, a US-based private equity house controlled by JP Morgan Chase. After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
