The European Commission on 2 June 2005 cleared under the EU Merger Regulation a proposed joint venture between Barclays Bank of the UK and FöreningsSparbanken (FSB) of Sweden for credit card issuing services. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EEA or any substantial part of it. |
