The European Commission on 8 April 2005 cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Scaldia and Papeteries de France, a Dutch and a French paper merchant respectively, by Stora Enso, a Finnish based international industrial group. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EEA or any substantial part of it and has therefore approved the concentration. |
