The European Commission on 19 May 2006 cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of joint control of Holding Bercy Investissement ('HBI'), the company controlling the French caterer Elior, by Robert Zolade, a French citizen, and Charterhouse, a provider of equity capital and fund management services. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in any substantial part of it. |
