Press Release: Meeting of Danuta Hübner with the Belgian authorities on the announcement of job losses at the Volkswagen plant in Forest/Vorst

The Commissioner responsible for European regional policy expressed her dismay, and that of her fellow Commissioners, at their weekly meeting held on 22 November 2006, following the announcement of job losses at the Belgian Volkswagen factory in Forest/Vorst. She reiterated that, in this crisis that they are now facing, the Belgian employees, and their families enjoyed the European Commission’s support.
