The UK Culture Secretary, Maria Miller, on 20 September 2012, announced that ten cities around the country would share a £114 million broadband pot. The four UK capital cities along with Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Bradford, Newcastle and Manchester will share the funding. It will help provide businesses with ultrafast broadband (at least 80-100Mbps) and well as high speed wireless Internet access. |
