The obligation to declare any cash sum over €10 000 applies in the international transit areas of airports located in the territory of EU Member States. Thus, a person travelling from a non-EU State to another non-EU State and transiting through an airport located in the territory of the EU is subject, for the duration of that transit, to that obligation to declare. |
