Javier Solana, High Representative for the EU's Foreign and Security Policy, met with Mr. Tonino Picula, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Croatia on 28 January 2003. The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss the latest development in EU- Croatia relations and to analyse the situation in the Balkans. They also discussed the Croatian government's intention of submitting an official application to join the European Union in February 2003. |
