The Transport Ministers of Israel and the Palestinian Authority signed an agreement for the establishment of a Joint Transport Office, Jerusalem, 21 September 2005. It was planned that the role of the Office would be to study and promote the implementation of projects of mutual interest, especially in the domain of road and railway transport. The agreement had been facilitated by the European Commission and the Joint Transport Office was to be supported financially by the European Union. |
