Press Release: Investment and innovation are key to increased competitiveness in the EU agricultural sector, concludes CoR seminar

New production techniques must be harnessed in order to boost the competitiveness of the EU's agricultural sector and support the objectives of the Lisbon Strategy in terms of growth and employment. This was one of the main messages to come from the seminar on 'Rural development and the Lisbon strategy', held by the Committee of the Regions (CoR) in Alexandroupolis, Greece, on 26 June 2006.
