Press Release: Government responds to European Commission’s questionnaire on EC data protection directive

On 13 September 2002, the UK government submitted to the European Commission the final part of its response to the Commission's questionnaire on the implementation of the 1995 EC Data Protection Directive. The first part of the government's response was published in July 2002. Please note that the Lord Chancellor's Department was abolished in 2003 and replaced by a new Department for Constitutional Affairs.
