The European Parliament's special committee on tax rulings II held a public hearing on 15 March 2016 with representatives from Google, Apple, Inter-IKEA Group and McDonald's. These companies shared with the committee their views on proposed legislation on corporate tax, put forward by the European Commission in January 2016. They said they would welcome more clarity and certainty about their tax liabilities in the European Union, but also showed their concerns about the administrative compliance costs and reluctancy to see tax data being made public. |
