Press Release: G8 Foreign Ministers’ meeting : Whistler 12 – 13 June 2002

The European Commissioner for External Relations Chris Patten, the EU Presidency, represented by Foreign Minister Josep Piqué, and the EU High Representative for CSFP, Javier Solana will participate in the meeting of G8 Foreign Ministers in Whistler, Canada 12 and 13 June. The agenda includes discussions on: Counter Terrorism; Afghanistan; India/Pakistan; Middle East; Arms Control; and the Western Balkans. The meeting will issue a number of statements (and the usual 'Chairman's summary'. An EU-Japan Troika Ministerial Meeting will be held in the margins
