Press Release: G7 Rome Energy Ministerial Meeting: Rome G7 Energy Initiative for Energy Security

On 5 and 6 May 2014, the Energy Ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the EU Commissioner for Energy, following The Hague Declaration of G7 Leaders of March 24th, met in Rome to discuss ways to strengthen collective energy security.

After the meeting they issued the following joint statement for Leaders’ consideration, in view of the G7 Summit to be held in Brussels on June 4-5, 2014.
