Press Release: First Natura 2000 Award winners announced

On 22 May 2014, the winners of the first Natura 2000 Awards were announced at a ceremony in Brussels. The winners received trophies from the European Commissioner for the Environment, Janez Potočnik, along with members of the award Jury.

These Awards recognise excellence in Natura 2000 site management, showcasing the value of the network for local communities and economies.
