The first eLearning Summit, organised in collaboration with the industry, was held in La Hulpe, Brussels, on 10-11 May 2001. Ministers and representatives of leading ICT and multimedia companies met to examine possible public/private partnerships for the implementation of the eLearning Action Plan adopted by the Commission on 28 March 2001. The Action Plan aims to promote co-operation between European institutions, Member States, education and training practitioners and economic players for the use of new information and communication technologies in schools. |
