Press Release: European co-operation to secure borders, ensure effective policing and implement tough counter-terrorism measures

A two-day meeting of key EU interior ministers was held in the UK, in Sheffield and Derbyshire, on 5-6 July 2004. The meeting was the fourth in a series of G5 meetings to agree further action on key issues affecting the largest five EU countries and give impetus to EU work on illegal immigration, border security and counter-terrorism.
