Press Release: ‘European citizenship: not just words, but also concrete rights!’: European Union launches information campaign in Romania

Under the banner "European citizenship is not just words, but also concrete rights", the European Commission has announced the launch of a new campaign to inform EU citizens about their rights. The campaign will start in Romania in the form of a roadshow that will visit 40 cities between 23 September and 4 October 2008. Its aim is to make people aware of their rights as citizens of the European Union, as defined in the Charter of Fundamental rights of the European Union.
