The UK Minister for Europe, Denis MacShane, on 31 August 2004, commented on a survey carried out by the Institute of Directors on EU enlargement, which showed that 61% of its members were willing to recruit employees from the new Member States and that 35% of respondents were already doing business with the new Member States.
