The Commission adopted on the 6 September 2000 a Communication aimed at strengthening its relations with the EU's neighbours to the South and East of the Mediterranean. 'Reinvigorating the Barcelona Process' prepares for decisions to be taken at the Euro-Mediterranean meeting of Foreign Ministers in Marseilles in November. The measures will give a new impetus to achieving the objectives set out in the 1995 Barcelona Declaration.
