A conference on the theme of 'Racism, xenophobia and the media: Towards respect and understanding of all cultures and religions', took place within the framework of the EU Presidency of the EU, in Vienna on 22-23 May 2006. The conference was jointly organised by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia and the European Commission in consultation with the EU's Mediterranean partners. Please note that the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) was superceded by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rigths (FRA) in 2007. |
