Press Release: EU wins WTO dispute on bed linen from India

On 29 November 2002, a WTO panel found that the EC had fully complied with the recommendations of a WTO Dispute Settlement Body in March 2001 concerning EC anti-dumping measures on imports of cotton bed linen. In its recent report, the implementation panel rejects all the claims made by India against the EU's implementation measures. This constitutes an important victory for the EU in the first case ever brought against an EU anti-dumping measure implementing earlier WTO Dispute Settlement Body findings.
