Taking goods and services together, the EU25 and the USA are each other's main trading partners, and account for the largest bilateral trade relationship in the world. The EU25 and the USA are also each other's most important source for foreign direct investment (FDI). The huge amount of bilateral trade and investment illustrates the high degree of interdependence of the two economies.
