Preview of the 15th Summit of EU and Russian leaders, in Moscow on 10 May 2005. It was hoped that at the Summit, hosted by President Vladimir Putin, an agreement on a comprehensive and detailed package of measures to create four EU/Russia 'common spaces' could be reached. European Commission proposals to support economic and social recovery in the northern Caucasus region were also on the agenda, as well as a range of international issues including OSCE, Moldova, Georgia and Iran. |
