European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, will participate in the EU-China Foreign Ministers' Troika meeting in Ljubljana on 9 June. The meeting will focus, in particular, on the latest developments in EU-China relations, the status of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, climate change and sustainable development, human rights and other issues of bilateral concern. The Commissioner will also take the opportunity to underline the European Union’s appreciation for China's reengagement with the representatives of the Dalai Lama as well as the constructive engagement with the new government in Taiwan. |
