Press Release: EU approach against criminal proceeds

Europol, as Secretariat of the Camden Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network (CARIN) assisted the Garda Síochána Criminal Assets Bureau to organise an international seminar on the subject of confiscating criminal assets in County Monaghan, Ireland, towards the end of April 2005. The objectives were to examine alternative strategies to deny or deprive persons of the benefits of organised crime, including the use of a multi-agency approach and the application of national and international legal instruments.
