Press Release: EU animal by-products regulation – details of legislation and transitional arrangements

The EU Animal By-Products Regulation, which tightens the rules on the processing, use, disposal, trade and import of animal by-products, came into force on 1 May 2003. However, national enforcing legislation in England will not be introduced until the end of May 2003.
