Press Release: EU and South Korea sign a new framework agreement for bilateral relations

The European Union and Republic of Korea met on 10 May 2010, at the margins of the Foreign Affairs Council, to sign a new Framework Agreement on the relations between the EU and Korea. On the side of the EU the agreement was signed by High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton as well as Foreign Ministers of EU Member States. South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-Hwan was in Brussls to sign on behalf of his country.
