Press Release: EU Affairs Committee invites submissions on Fiscal Treaty

The text of the new EU Fiscal Treaty (Treaty on stability, coordination and governance in the economic and monetary union') was agreed by 25 Member States, including Ireland, on 30 January 2012. The Joint Oireachtas Committee on European Union Affairs will lead a national debate on the new Treaty.

In considering the Treaty, the Committee, on 14 February 2012, invited submissions from individual members of the public and organisations, who wish to make known their views on the Treaty and its implications for Ireland.
