Ambassadors from Eastern and Southern African (ESA) countries and EU senior officials agreed on 30 July 2004 on the scope and priorities of the negotiations for an Economic Partnership Agreement. Last week's talks were in line with the agenda set at the launch of the negotiations in February. Since the launch, the 16 member states of the ESA region have established national and regional negotiating structures and carried out studies on the key features of a future EPA. |
