Press Release: Ending EU citizens’ bank secrecy in Liechtenstein

The European Parliament backed in plenary on 2 December 2015 an agreement between the European Union and Liechtenstein allowing automatic exchange of information on bank accounts, starting in 2018.

The aim was to make it harder for citizens to hide cash from taxation in bank accounts in that country.
