Press Release: €1 billion for Youth Employment Initiative in 2015

The European Parliament approved on 29 April 2015 changes to the rules of the European Social Fund. This was set to allow €1 billion in EU funding to help member states get up to 650,000 young people into work in 2015.

This EU Youth Employment Initiative funding tops up European Social Fund (ESF) money in the 20 member states with regions where youth unemployment exceeds 25%.
