Press Release: Dijsselbloem pledges to strengthen EU Banking Union and tackle tax-avoidance

The European Parliament's economic and monetary affairs committee held a discussion with Eurogroup president and ECOFIN chair Jeroen Dijsselbloem on 18 February 2016.

Mr Dijsselbloem showed his intention to seek further strengthening of the Banking Union, despite recent calls to loosen tegulation in response to bank share volatility in global markets.
