Press Release: Dermot Ahern says EU fish box proposals fall far short of demands

Dermot Ahern, the Irish Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources said, on 21 May 2003, that the latest proposals from the EU Commission on the issue of the Irish Box fishing waters fell short of his demands but that they did represent some easing of the Commission's earlier hard line stance.
